Today concludes a splendid weekend, and I don’t have any work tommorrow,so in a fancy way,My weekend  continues till monday. By Noon  I had asked a guy for his number and was met with the most candid rebuttal. There was no hassle and there was no disdain, except most politely shared was his disagreement. It all happened so fast, that I did not even have the time  to feel rejection. Later as
I and my brother talked more after the incident, it stung. My brother, because he was with me at the scene, said he was even more proud of me, and the more we talked about it,the more we found solace in our topics of rejection.
If we explored more, this feeling of rejection, perhaps we would find difficulties much easier to battle. We want to believe that we are always wanted and sometimes when we are not accepted, our hearts cry out for those spaces, when we do not even know whether we will fit in. Oddly I think it is like a frantic toddler crying and trashing all around the place without using his words, wanting especially, what he does not fully understand.
It was a bit embarrassing, this rejection. It was the very first time I ever did such a thing. I could not resent him. He was such an adorable man, so irresistibly shy and handsome. I had somewhat the compulsion to squeeze lightly, his cheeks and hug his lean frame steadily. I felt too, that I could listen to all he had to say and offer words of comfort for the inner complexities of his mind. But this is only a matter of interest, and not of affection, and by God if he his underaged, I have turned myself into a pedophilic monster by Ink. I pray he is not. Now I do not know if I can go back to that restaurant and get those delicious corndogs, for fear that I will make him uncomfortable. Oh dear, I have not, even his name to fantasize about. And as I feel delirium approaching, twisting and turning me into a  yearning mess, I must drop this pen, and move forward. In pathetic hopes that somehow, the universe might arrange such wonders for me to see,or for me to see him again. It is with great enthusiasm, I declare to myself, that My abstract previous obsessions await a much prepared creep.

Au revoir
To : The man who wears glasses behind the counter.
